I first heard anees at a difficult moment in life, and his blend of R&B, positivity and self-respect became a quiet companion. His music carried me then, and it has stayed with me since.
Years later, while in Germany, I had the chance to see him live in Köln — a city I love, and an artist I deeply admire. To experience both together was a rare fortune.
